I.Eligibilitycriteria for Scholarship
a.Applicantsmust be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China orhave acquired foreign citizenship for at least 4 years, and be friendly toChina.
b.Applicantsshould be in good health and comply with Chinese laws, the regulation ofHeilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, and the regulation of immigrationof People’s Republic of China.
c.Overseastudent studying in China or has been graduated from China for less than oneyear can not apply for undergraduate, master or doctoral scholarship.
II.Educationbackground and age limit
a.Applicantsfor bachelor’s degree must have acquired a diploma equivalent to Chinesehigh-school graduate and be under the age of 25, and should also be inaccordance with the eligibility of the host institution.
b.Applicantsfor master’s degree program must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of35 and should have a bachelor’s degree with letters of recommendation from twoprofessors or associate professors.
c.Applicantsfor doctoral degree program must have master’s degree and be under the age of40 and should have a master’s degree with letters of recommendation from twoprofessors or associate professors.
III.ScholarshipCoverage and Criteria
a.Recipientsof all categories of scholarship are exempt from registration fees, tuitionsfees, experiment fees, intern training fees, basic teaching materials fees (thebooklist provided by HLJUCM according to the international student’s scheduledteaching plan), and accommodation fees in the campus. If recipient ask for any experimentor intern training that exceed the scheduled teaching plan of HLJUCM, the costshould be at his/her own expense.
b.Scholarshipcovers the cost of outpatient medical services and comprehensive medicalinsurance for Heilongjiang Government Scholarship Program.

b.Highestdiploma (notarized photocopy): Applicants shall also provide proof of studyingon application. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must beattached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
c.Academictranscripts (notarized photocopy): Transcripts in languages other than Chineseor English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.HSK record: determined by the needs of host institution.
d.Astudy or research plan in Chinese or in English. (This should be aminimum of 800 words.)
e.Recommendationletters from two professors or associate professors in Chinese or English fordoctoral degree and master’s degree scholarship applicants.
f.Photocopyof passport (within the validity period).
g.Photocopyof Foreigner Physical Examination Form printed by Chinese quarantine authority.The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the ForeignerPhysical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature ofthe attending physician, official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photographof the applicants are invalid. The medical examination results are valid for 6months. All applicants are kindly requested to take this factor intoconsideration while determining the time to take the medical examination.
